⚔️ 5-Day Northern Crusades Journey – Latvia, Lithuania & Poland
The Northern Crusades were more than quests for personal salvation — they were centuries-long campaigns for control of vital Baltic trade routes. Led by powerful military orders, with Papal backing, these wars sought to expand Latin Catholic dominion over pagan regions and buttress against the rising influence of Eastern Orthodoxy.
On this immersive 5-day journey, you will:
Begin in Riga, birthplace of the Livonian Brothers of the Sword (founded 1202).
Explore medieval castles, meet traditional swordsmiths and boat builders in the Latvian countryside — once Livonian strongholds.
Try your hand at beekeeping and archery in rural Lithuania and visit Trakai’s reconstructed island castle and Vilnius’s historic old town.
Cross into Poland for horse riding and a tour of the mighty Malbork Castle, the largest castle in the world.
Witness the epic Battle of Grunwald Re-enactment — Europe’s largest medieval festival — where over 50,000 swords clash in the recreation of the decisive 1410 Lithuanian–Polish victory over the Teutonic Order.
📅 Dates: Tuesday 14 July – Saturday 18 July 2026

🌲 4-Day “Brothers of the Forest” – Lithuanian Partisan War Journey
The Lithuanian Partisan War was a grassroots resistance against the Soviet re-occupation of Lithuania at the end of World War II. Teachers, students, farmers, professionals, and former soldiers joined the fight, risking everything for freedom. This struggle cost over 20,000 partisan lives and saw hundreds of thousands of civilians exiled to Siberian labour camps.
On this immersive 4-day journey, you will:
Begin in Vilnius, Lithuania’s historic capital, where baroque spires and cobbled streets meet forests and rivers.
Explore the former KGB headquarters, now the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights, and tour Lukiškės Prison, a symbol of repression from the Russian Empire through Soviet rule.
Venture into the Dzūkija region, one of the densest partisan zones, visiting preserved forest bunkers and the Partisan Monument in Merkinė.
Try weapons similar to those used by the partisans at an open-air forest firing range.
Visit the homestead in Minaičiai where the 1949 Union of Lithuanian Freedom Fighters Declaration was signed, uniting the resistance under a single command.
Conclude at the Partisan Honoring, Public and Military Unity Day, where remembrance meets a modern-day military parade.
📅 Dates: Wednesday 13 May – Saturday 17 May 2026
📍 Departure: Sunday 18 May from Vilnius
